Ireland has a new millionaire as lucky Lotto player scoops €5.2m jackpot

Darragh Murphy

Ireland’s recent streak of good luck is getting increasingly difficult to ignore.

Ireland has a new millionaire after a lucky player took home the €5.2 million jackpot in Wednesday’s Lotto draw.

The top prize was won after the numbers 13, 27, 32, 36, 38, 39 (bonus 43) were pulled in the main draw and the hunt is on for the winner of the €5,260,021 prize.

The National Lottery has yet to reveal where in the country the winning ticket was purchased so as of now, we can’t possibly overstate how urgently everyone in Ireland who bought a ticket should check their numbers.

In total, 66,000 players won something in Wednesday’s draw although there were no winners of the Lotto Plus 1 or Lotto Plus 2 top prizes.

The Lotto jackpot win comes hot on the heels of the €500,000 that was taken home by a Dublin EuroMillions player just 24 hours earlier.

Ireland is on a hot streak, there’s no denying that.
