It’s not every day that Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist dedicates an Instagram post to someone from Ireland.
So when he posted a series of photos of himself with an elderly Irish couple, we were intrigued to know what had brought them together.
Alongside the collection of Instagram photos, Mario explained the reasoning behind their encounter, saying that a few months ago he heard the heart-warming story of Des and Mona.
He explained that after Mona began losing her eyesight, her husband Des began taking makeup classes at Benefit so that he could do her makeup for her every day.
Mario wrote: “Mona began losing her eyesight and her husband Des began taking makeup lessons at Benefit with Rosie O’Driscoll so he could learn to apply her makeup for her.”
He added: “I called my manager and told her I wanted to invite Des, Mona and Rosie to #TheMasterClass and we had to make it happen.”
“My heart felt so full seeing them there in front of me.”
The makeup artist said that meeting the couple was not only the highlight of the event, but the highlight of his entire year.
