It seems like every week we hear from some source or another that the much anticipated bout between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather is on.
This time, however, the source is pretty reputable. McGregor’s coach and close confidante John Kavanagh has been speaking in Australia and said that The Notorious is training as if the contract has been signed.
The sceptics amongst us will remember that Kavanagh sent fans into a frenzy as part of the following April Fools’ prank:
Finally the news is confirmed. Conor v Mayweather. Let’s do this! ????????????

Lol and all that but this time it seems legit. The Win Or Learn author told Fox Sports:
“In my mind, it’s on. That’s the mentality we’re in,
“There’s a lot of fingers in the pie with this one, there’s different promotions, different organisations, there’s different commissions that are involved.
“But as far as I’m concerned, I’m really convinced it’s going to happen this year and that’s the mindset that I have.
“Let the people in the suits worry about the paperwork, we’re training for it.”
So there you have it. Over to you, Floyd.
