Michaella McCollum Reportedly In Talks To Present A TV Crime Show

James Fenton

Michaella McCollum, she who gained fame for drug smuggling is reportedly in talks to present a TV show… about drug smuggling.

According to the MailOnline, the 24-year-old Northern Irish woman was in Liverpool meeting potential interviewees for the new series, including international drug smugglers.

The paper says that McCollum could receive a ‘six-figure sum’ for fronting the show.

McCollum was arrested four years ago, along with Melissa Reid from Glasgow, for attempting to smuggle cocaine from Peru to Spain.

The Mail quotes a source as saying:

“She has been inundated with offers for her own TV shows but this will see her travel around the world interviewing suspected death row inmates to extremists and people proclaiming their innocence.

‘It’s a massive opportunity for Michaella and will propel her into the prime time TV spotlight and become Ireland’s first TV action woman.”

After McCollum appeared in a controversial interview last year, we’re not sure how well this is going to go down in these parts.

Do you think she should keep her head down or is she entitled to move on, making the best of the opportunities she is given?
