This Five-Star Hotel And Spa Has Just Launched a New Vegan Menu

Jen

We want to try everything on this menu.

The five-star Monart Destination Spa has just launched a brand new seasonal Vegan Menu to their á la Carte menu offering and it looks absolutely delish.

For just €45 per person for five courses, guests will be treated to incredibly healthy options including:

Homemade vegan breads, an Amuse Bouche followed by fresh soup served with sour dough croutons and fresh herbs.

A butter bean salad with avocado, baby gem, heirloom tomato with chili, basil & lime vinaigrette or a raw vegetable spring roll served with a cashew and tamarind dip.

For the mains, there is a choice of lentil & chickpea curry served with coconut rice, mango chutney and onion pakoras, a courgetti dish served with olive, artichoke, spinach, cherry tomato and red pepper coulis or a smoked tofu stir fry served with rice noodles and Asian leaves.

Dessert includes an exotic vegan passion fruit & coconut pannacotta served with a lychee sorbet.

Vegan Panacotta Monart

The menu is designed seasonally with local produce from Cullen’s Fruit and Vegetables from Gorey, Green Hill Fruit Farm in Davidstown, Millstream Seafood, Killowen Dairy Foods in Enniscorthy and Ballycross Apple Farm in Wexford.

Executive chef Azaharan Bin Ostman says that Monart is responding to a growing demand for plant based dishes:

“We didn’t want to add just one vegan offering to our regular menu, we wanted to offer a delicious variety of dishes from bespoke and seasonal menus all free of meat and dairy products. The flavour combinations and ingredients have all been studiously thought out and we hope the new menu will be a big hit with our guests.”

August bank holiday getaway, maybe?
