Very Twomey was met by the support of huge crowds as she arrived at The Dáil this afternoon.
The arrival marked the end of her journey from Cork to Dublin which she has undertaken in the past few days in an effort to access medical cannabis for her daughter Ava.
Vera is calling on Health Minister Simon Harris to prescribe it “on compassionate grounds”.
As she arrived at the Dáil, crowds of supporters chanted for Minister Harris to appear.
Vera was forced to complete the last couple of days of her journey with the help of a wheelchair having had straps placed on both legs at the end of last week.
