For the third day this week, University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded hospital in the country with 41 people being treated on trolleys at the facility today.
The figures collated by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) plaves UHL just ahead of Cork University Hospital which has 39 patients on trolleys.
The figures put UHL at the top for the third consecutive day but its number has dropped from yesterday’s total of 46.
According to the Limerick Leader, UHL is consistently the most overcrowded hospital in the country but February’s figures so far are still short of January’s peak of 66.
