The June Bank Holiday has just been and gone, which means one thing. Thousands of women descended onto the streets of Dublin to take part in the 2019 Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon.
And this year’s event proved to be one of the biggest and best yet. This year was the 37th year of the #VhiWMM, and it was more colourful, upbeat and atmospheric than ever.
The sun was shining as a whopping 30,000 women walked and/or ran the 10km course while raising money for hundreds of different causes.

Since the event started in 1983, it has only gotten bigger and better every year, with a massive €217K being raised for a range of fantastic charities this year.
CEO of the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon, Kathy Endersen, said on Sunday, “I would like to congratulate the thousands of women who took part in today’s Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon.”
“The theme for our campaign this year is #WomenwithImpact, and every single woman who took part today truly embodies this theme, whether they were making an impact by raising funds for a cause close to their heart, or by achieving their personal fitness goals,” she added.
Well done everyone!
