Cork will be a haven for some of the world’s most talented singers and musicians next week as the the 63rd annual Cork International Choral Festival takes place in the city.
One of the biggest and oldest festivals in Cork, more than 5,000 singers and 50,000 visitors will descend on the Rebel City from Ireland, Europe and beyond for a series of gala concerts, competitions, workshops, a symposium and numerous free outdoor performances.

With around 100 free events throughout the city and county, the festival usually sees festivities spill out onto the streets with impromptu performances in pubs, cafes, restaurants, churches and libraries not uncommon.

All in all, it sounds like absolutely great craic. The festival takes place from Wednesday April 26 to Sunday April 30. More details can be found at Corkchoral.ie.
