It’s decked out well too: exposed piping works well to create a pleasant and chic industrial theme. Steam Junkies closes at 4pm so make sure to factor that in to avoid disappointment.

9. Dr Jekyll Cafe

St Kilda’s Dr Jekyll Cafe is a beautiful place to kick back, go about your online business, maintain your energy by drinking amazing coffee and more than likely pick up some of Jekyll’s renowned poached eggs with avocado. The back patio area continues the inside’s refined but cosy theme, making this place a lovely, chill somewhat out of the way spot.

The Moat’s elegant rooms are perfect for encouraging a bookish mood – either to take a break from the screen or to kick start getting down to some serious work. The Moat doesn’t offer its own Wi-Fi though the adjoining State Library’s can be accessed well from this location.
