These Protein Bars Have Been Recalled Due To An Undeclared Presence Of Peanuts

Clif Bar & Company is recalling the below batches of CLIF BUILDER’S Protein Chocolate Mint bars due to the possible presence of peanuts and tree nuts, namely, almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, pecans and walnuts.  

According to Food Safety Authority Ireland, neither peanuts nor tree nuts were declared on the label.

The implicated batches may be unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of peanuts, almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, pecans and walnuts or their constituents.

Peanut and nuts (almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, pecans and walnuts)

The batches affected are: 

  • CLIF BUILDER’S Protein Chocolate Mint Bar
  • All ‘best-before’ dates ranging from 05APR16 – 23APR18
  • Pack size: individual 68g bars and 12 pack cartons
  • Batch codes ranging from 05APR16M3 to 23APR18M3
