Kate’s Story

I suffer with sleep paralysis. I can wake up during the night, my mind is alert but my body is still asleep and I always feel like there’s an evil presence in the room.

One time I fell asleep on the couch and during the night I woke up, but I couldn’t move. I looked around and saw three pale-faced children peeking over the back of the couch just staring at me. 

I was terrified. I was trying so hard to move and scream, but my body wouldn’t budge and my voice was silent. Suddenly, my body woke up in a panic and I could move again — but the children were gone. 

Glad to say they haven’t paid me another visit since.
