Feeling a bit discouraged by your Leaving Cert results? Well, if Eugene Greaney of The Dough Bros fame is anything to go by, then points aren’t everything. In other words, doughn’t worry (excuse the pun).

Greaney went from failing maths to having a question about his business appear in the higher level business paper, so you could say he’s doing just fine; regardless of grades.

Eugene and brother Ronan are the brains behind The Dough Bros Wood Fired Pizzeria, an endeavour that started off as a humble food truck. A firm favourite among old and young alike, the Galway foodie scene wouldn’t be the same without them (I’m partial to a hey-pesto and garlic firebread myself).

Putting his success down to hard work and sacrifice, Eugene is proof that there is life beyond the Leaving Cert. So head west and treat yourself to some of the best pizza this side of Naples!
