Great news for people in the Co Louth town of Drogheda, as it's been announced that a company that specialises in mobile device display technologies will create 150 new jobs.

Mobile Technologies Inc (MTI) will establish its Global Services European Headquarters in the town, as reported today by RTE.

The recruitment process for the Irish jobs is already under way for a wide range of technology-based roles.

The company, whose headquarters is in Oregan, USA, currently operates in over 90 countries.

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Mary Mitchell O'Connor said at the jobs announcement that "the investment will be of considerable benefit to Drogheda and the border region."

The company is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.
