Think you could finish this Irish breakfast down in the lovely county of Mayo?
Sorry, scrap that because that's what Lily's in Castlebar call a "small Irish breakfast".
Yep, a small. Three of everything, eggs and pudding included alongside a batch of chips, mushrooms and toast and a full pot of tea.
All for only €8.
If you're feeling extra adventurous and are willing to part with an extra euro, you can bump up to the deluxe Full-Irish edition which includes a whopping four of everything.
It will fill you up for the day and you still get change from a ten euro note. Now that's value for money.
Lily's in Castlebar is your classic builders café and is family run by a husband and a wife. The kitchen is within view and it makes you all the hungrier watching your breakfast being made right in front of your eyes.
While the husband is flat out frying in the back, his wife is conducting all the duties possible at the front of the house. She's behind the counter taking money one minute and while she's waiting for one customer to hand over the change, she's handing out a menu to another one.
You'll be bombarded with questions about how you're doing and if you want more tea or toast to add to your colossal fry.
And only the bravest of men would be able to chance another slice after wolfing down a plate of this.
We think this is the biggest breakfast you'll get in Ireland for less than €10. Can it be beaten?
