The Galway International Arts Festival is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and has announced a pretty decent line-up to mark the occasion.
In conjunction with iconic venue Róisín Dubh, it’s been revealed that two of Ireland’s most popular acts, 2FM DJ Jenny Greene & the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and The Coronas, will be appearing at the Absolut Big Top.
Greene and her backing band, who have risen to prominence since a hugely popular set at Electric Picnic 2016, have recently played sold-out shows at Dublin’s 3 Arena, wowing crowd’s with versions of classiC dance tunes like ‘Insomnia’ by Faithless and ‘Children’ by Robert Miles.
They will be taking to the stage at GIAF on Friday July 28 with The Coronas to follow suit on Saturday July 29.
To mark our 40th, we’re hosting the biggest party in town, the End of Festival party. This is a weekend you’re not going to want to miss! pic.twitter.com/ps5PBuZ75E
