All proceeds from the concert are in aid of The Heart Angel Charity
The Heart Angel cause is an important one. It was inspired by Béibhinn O’Connor, who sadly passed away in September 2020. She had a Congenital Heart Defect, also known as CHD, and died following major open heart surgery. She was only nine years old, but she made a huge impression with her short life.

Béibhinn’s parents, Eoin and Irene speak of how full of life their daughter was and how caring she was especially. They say she truly has left a “legacy of kindness” and they wanted to continue that legacy with The Heart Angel charity.
Now almost a year after Béibhinn’s passing, they are hosting the Heart Angel Concert, which will air on the 18th September at 7:30pm. You can stream the concert via their website here. The concert features acts such as The City of Cork Symphony Orchestra, Linda Kenny, Shirley McCarthy, and many more.
This is a ticketless event but donations are welcome. The website states that: “All money raised goes back to the community. We are open to all projects and ideas that can create a positive, kind, and happy environment for all members of the community to live.”
We think this is a lovely tribute for Béibhinn.
