Six Rustic Venues For A Magical Irish Wedding

Éadaoin Fitzmaurice

1. Rathsallagh House

A magical, quaint venue for a truly memorable day.

Rathsallagh House is one of the prettiest places I’ve been to in Ireland. The gardens make for the ideal prosecco-filled al fresco reception and it’s the perfect place to take stunning pictures.

The food is cooking at its best, full of flavour, amazing service and suited to everyone.

A venue like no other.

2. Tankardstown House

Just outside of Dublin, this chic venue has lots of character.

With stunning gardens and a grand orangery, it’s the ideal summer venue.

3. Borris House

A stunningly elegant ballroom with high ceilings, French doors and vast gardens, Borris House is a cute little spot tucked away in County Carlow.

4. Marlfield House

This country house hotel can be found in the lush country side of Wexford.

It’s an oasis of relaxation, an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The venue is available for both large and intimate celebrations and can also be exclusive to larger groups.

The gorgeous venue has gardens to explore and also has its own restaurant on site that serves up a decadent lunch menu.

When it comes to atmosphere, Marlfield has it all. During summer, it’s a fab spot for a garden party reception and in winter guests can cozy up beside open fires

5. Clonabreany House

Clonabreany House in Kells, Co. Meath, is a popular choice with foodies.

The unique and private Georgain house with a Grand Marquee, fab grounds and beautiful rooms.

A welcoming and relaxing venue that friends and family alike will adore.

6. Killruddery Estate

You’ll find this historic estate just outside of Bray, Co. Wicklow.

The Victorian estate boasts romantic grounds, dining areas and rooms including a picturesque Orangery where ceremonies can be held.

The 19th century barn conversion on site faces a charming courtyard, the perfect space for a wedding dinner reception.
