This Edgy Kinsale Café Is A Dream For Foodies

Éadaoin Fitzmaurice

It can be hard to turn a traditional, family-run business into something cool and contemporary to fit in with the trends of today, but that is exactly what sisters Sarah and Carol did with OHK Café and it’s class.

OHK in Kinsale needs to be on every foodie’s hit list.

The café was originally a pub and was also their mother and grandmothers house way back when. The pair have since transformed it into a gorge, eclectic venue and a hipsters paradise. The café still stays true to its vintage nature but has an artsy vibe from the moment you walk through the bright pink door.

I am utterly obsessed tbh.

The café serves mostly breakfast and lunch options with a few sweet treats for those who are only stopping off for a coffee. With a range of hearty salads and sambos, the menu is sure to satisfy whatever craving you may have. The food is stunning and proper Instagram worthy, so charge up that phone before you come here, believe me.

It’s the ideal spot to chill and nurse a coffee and by god are their coffees good.

Coconut latte heaven.

The café is open from Tuesday-Saturday and then a little later on Sundays.

If you’re near the Kinsale area, make sure to call in here next time you’re in need of a feed.
