A School In Cork Is Allowing Students To Sit The Mocks At Home Because Of The Cold Weather

A school in Cork has decided to allow students to sit their mock exams from the comfort of their own home.

The decision was made as a result of the Beast from the East which is sweeping across the country today.

Hewitt College, a private school in Cork, informed parents of students at the school that the school would close due to “hazardous footpaths and roads, and disruption to water services”, according to the Journal.

However, despite closing the doors of the school, students weren’t going to get away without sitting their exams. The tests were sent out via email and parents were given instructions on how to supervise their children.

When asked if she thought this could result in some students trying to cheat on the test she told the publication: “I don’t think so. We’ve given full instructions to parents regarding exam conditions.”

She added: “It’s not important what mark they get here, but it’s important they have a trial run for the real thing. I don’t think there will be any cheating.”
