Experts Reveal The Best And Worst Months To Conceive A Baby

James Fenton

A new study has found which months are the best and worst to conceive a baby in.

In a report called ‘Within-mother analysis of seasonal patterns in health at birth‘, authors Janet Currie and Hannes Schwandt found that between June and August is the best time to get pregnant.

Babies conceived during these months will weigh an extra eight or nine grams on average while those conceived in May are more likely to be born prematurely.

Currie and Schwandt studied 647,050 groups of siblings, which made a total of 1.4 million children in order to reach their findings.
