Appeal For Information After Cork Man Is Beaten To Death With An Iron Bar

An Garda Síochana has issued an appeal for information following the death of a man on the Dublin Road last night.

The man, who was based in Cork, was beaten to death at a truck stop near Fermoy at approximately 10.30pm.

The man’s friend was also attacked but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Two men were arrested at the scene and are currently being questioned.

The body has now been removed for examination at Cork University by the State Pathologist, Margaret Bolster.
