If you’re always busy and don’t have the time to stroll around the shops to get your bits and pieces then shopping online is your life saver.
You can do it from the comfort of your home and it’s as simple as pressing a few buttons, but the Gardaí are warning Irish shoppers to be careful when it comes to your credit card safety when shopping online.
They have just launched their Safe Online Shopping Campaign ahead of Cyber Monday which will see many Irish people flock to online shopping sites in a bid to get the best bargains.
Safe Online Shopping Campaign – D/Super Gubbins said “The public need to be aware that the proceeds from these fraudulent activities go to fund organised criminal gangs.”

An Garda Síochána, along with the Banking & Payments Federation of Ireland and Retail Excellence, have launched the campaign in anticipation of the annual Christmas shopping rush.
They want to remind keen shoppers and retailers who sell their products online to make an important effort to protect their financial and personal details.
It was reported that a massive €13.2 billion was spent online by Irish consumers just last year.
Customers are warned to use creditable retailers and to be wary and research brands or websites that they do not know.
