Nestle Are Recalling This Popular Chocolate Over Potential Allergy Dangers

Sarah

Nestle has warned people to be “especially vigilant” after incorrectly packaging a batch of their popular KitKat Bites.

The Bites were incorrectly packed with a Peanut Butter variant and Nestle are asking consumers with nut or peanut allergies to check the batch number on the product.

A spokesperson said that “although these packs are clearly labelled with “may contain peanuts and nuts” there is a risk to anyone with a nut or peanut allergy who may consume their contents without realising.

“These products are otherwise safe to consume we are making this recall as a precaution. This does not affect any other KITKAT products.”

The product affected is the 104g KITKAT Bites Pouch Bag with the line code 12311184 and batch code 70720457V2.

Nestle are asking consumers not to eat the product and to return products matching these details to them to claim a full refund.

The company added that “if you are a consumer with any concerns please call us free on 0800 604604.”
