Toy Show star Saoirse Ruane has received an award for bravery.

The young girl was celebrated at a ceremony in Galway over the weekend.

Her mum shared an adorable photo of the moment Saoirse found out about the award.

The family attended the Bravery Awards in Galway on Saturday.

Alongside the touching video, Saoirse’s mum Roseanna praised her daughter.

“Let it be hard, let it be scary, and then do it anyway.”

“I told Saoirse on our way to the ball “I will probably cry tonight”… it’s nothing new as I always ALWAYS cry when filled with pride.”

“But Saoirse didn’t realise what was actually in store for her until it was announced after dinner that she was being awarded for her Bravery.

“Something she didn’t take from me, but something I am learning from her.”

Saoirse received her own standing ovation during the ceremony.

“As most of you will know, from the moment Saoírse accepted her first-ever diagnosis of cancer in 2019, she took on her battle with such a brave heart and never ever stopped smiling, even when cancer took her leg.”

Last year, Saoirse’s mum confirmed her daughter had no new tumours.
