This Is How Much It’ll Cost You To Go To The Rugby World Cup

Sharron

We’re set to face both Scotland and Japan in the group stages of the Rugby World Cup in 2019.

However, if you want to see those games live in the flesh, it’s going to set you back quite a bit.

Independent.ie say a three-week trip to Japan in September this year would cost about €1,700 for flights and a three-star hotel. But prices could be almost double that when the tournament kicks off two years later on September 20th 2019.

Once you touch down on Japanese soil, public transport is going to be pretty pricey too. A national rail pass for three weeks in the country at the moment will set an adult back €463 and it’ll cost €232 for children.

And you still haven’t seen an actual game yet.

Back in 2015, adult tickets for the last World Cup in England cost somewhere between €60 and €208 while tickets for the knockout fixtures rose to around €375.
