The Irish Independent is reporting that a trainee Garda has been suspended after it was revealed that he starred in a porn video with a British actress.
The film was made years before the person in question applied to join An Garda Siochana.
In a statement, Gardaà said that the man had been suspended and an inquiry is now underway.
“A trainee garda has been suspended pending the outcome of an inquiry.
“An Garda Siochana does not comment on the detail of internal disciplinary matters and will not be commenting any further at this time.”
It is not illegal to act in a porn movie in Ireland but Gardaà have said that they will have to see whether the man is suitable for membership after the incident.
This comes two months after a pornographic video emerged online which featured what appeared to be a Garda in uniform.
Speaking to at the time. the woman behind the ‘Carla4Garda’ clip said that:
“Everyone deserves a break and they can do what they like on their break.
“I messaged the garda and asked him if he wanted to make a video, and he was well game.
“We came to an understanding that his face would not be shown and that he would not be identifiable in anyway.
“Ireland needs to lighten up and have more fun.”
