Two men in Leitrim were airlifted to the burns unit at St James’ Hospital yesterday evening after a minor explosion happened in Ballinamore.
Leitrim Observer reported that the two men were working on repairing a boat at roughly 5.15pm at Riversdale when the explosion occurred.
Both men were airlifted to hospital and received burns from the accident.
They are currently receiving treatment for their injuries.
The cause of the explosion on the boat is not yet known, however Gardai are not investigating the incident.
