It’s been confirmed that this afternoon’s incident at Notre Dame cathedral in Paris is being treated as a terrorist incident, according to the BBC .Â
Tourists and worshippers were captured fleeing the scene and the public were warned to stay away, while others remained trapped inside the Notre Dame.Â

Those who remained inside were later evacuated.Â
