A cocktail with smooth and rich flavours of The Dead Rabbit Irish Whiskey, including oak and vanilla, paired with Schweppes 1783 Golden Ginger Ale and garnished with fresh lime and ginger for a spicy finish.
This cocktail is simple but effective.
You only need four ingredients and you can make it in minutes.
Dead Rabbit Irish Whiskey is top-shelf stuff. It comes from the famous New York bar the Dead Rabbit, which is renowned for its artisan cocktails and Irish coffees. Co-founders Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry collaborated with Master Distiller Darryl McNally from Dublin Liberties Distillery to launch this five-year-old blend in celebration of the bar’s fifth anniversary.
The premium whiskey consists of both malt and grain, is matured in ex-Bourbon barrels casks and then finished off in virgin oak American casks.
Here’s how to create this dreamy drink:
• 50ml The Dead Rabbit Irish Whiskey
• 200ml Schweppes 1783 Golden Ginger Ale
Garnish: fresh sliced ginger and lime wheel
Take a highball glass and fill with block ice to the top. Pour the Dead Rabbit Irish Whiskey over the ice and fill to the top with Schweppes 1783 Golden Ginger Ale.
To garnish: slice some fresh ginger and a wheel of fresh lime. Drop into the glass to complete.
Start the new year off right, surrounded by the best people and sipping on the best homemade cocktail.
