Steve Coogan’s parody chat show This Time With Alan Partridge made quite the impression when it aired on Monday night.
The latest episode that was shown on St. Patrick’s Day featured a special guest in the form of a Sligo farmer and Alan Partridge lookalike named Martin Brennan.
The farmer/lookalike was also played by Steve Coogan, and since a lot of his family including his mother is from the west of Ireland, he actually did a great Irish accent.

After Martin’s interview, during which he claimed he had never heard of Alan Partridge, he treated the crowd to a rendition of some rebel songs including Come Out Ye Black and Tans and Men Behind the Wire.
As his performance drew to an end, Partridge commented, “Oh my God, that was like an advert for the IRA.”
