For all your shellfish and mollusc needs.

If you’re already planning your summer getaway along the Wild Atlantic Way, listening to trad, sipping on creamy pints and shucking oysters, we recommend adding this trailer to your list of spots to stop off at.

Dooncastle Oysters of Galway are about to open a seafood trailer serving up the quality grub they’re known and loved for, set against the idyllic location of their oyster farm in Connemara. Have a peep at the post below for some swoon-worthy scenes.

Name a more scenic spot to slurp up an artistically garnished oyster or two. We’ll wait.

Dooncastle Oysters was founded in 2006, and have since set up a mobile oyster bar available for events and private parties. Their oysters are served in top restaurants and foodie spots all over the country, but this new trailer provides a unique opportunity to enjoy the deliciously prepared goods while gazing out at the farm they came from. It doesn’t get much fresher than that.

The new trailer will open this Friday (28th) from 12-7 to kick off the bank holiday weekend. We predict this spot being hopped off over the summer, with visiting staycationers and tourists staging artful snaps of oysters held up against the sparkling blue sea and glorious green fields of the Galway coastline. A must for the gram.
