These Are The Disney Classics That Are Getting Live-Action Remakes Next Year

Love ’em or hate ’em, there’s a rake of Disney live-action remakes coming in 2019.

After the massive success of Beauty and the Beast, Maleficent, The Jungle Book and more, Disney is showing no signs of slowing down it’s live-action output.

Here’s what you can expect in 2019.

Aladdin

Aladdin

Directed by Guy Ritchie, this will star Canadian actor Mena Massoud as Aladdin, as well as Naomi Scott portraying Princess Jasmine and Will Smith playing the Genie.

The Lion King

The Lion King

Directed by Jon Favreau, this will star Donald Glover and Beyonce and is set for release on July 19 next year.

Dumbo

Dumbo01

Tim Burton is at the helm of this remake with Colin Farrell, Eva Green, Danny DeVito, and Michael Keaton all lined up to star.

Other live action treatments in the pipeline with dates yet to be announced include The Little Mermaid, Snow White, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, The Sword in the Stone, and Lady and The Tramp.

A live-action remake of Mulan is due in 2020.

It’s a good time to be a Disney fan.
