WATCH: A Video Of The Victorious Laois Hurlers Has Caught The Attention Of WWE’s Matt Hardy

It’d be easy to point out that the Laois hurlers sent shockwaves through Ireland yesterday but that would actually do a disservice to their achievement.

Nope, the ramifications of the O’Moore county’s surprise 1-22 to 0-23 victory over Dublin have spread across the Atlantic thanks to a little help from Ireland’s premier GAA social media star Buff Egan.

Egan bumped into the successful Laois team after yesterday’s victory and got them all to chant “DELETE, DELETE, DELETE,” which, to those not in the know, is the rallying cry of WWE wrestling superstar Matt Hardy.

The clip caught the attention of Hardy himself who retweeted to his 1.4 million followers along with the caption “WONDERFUL!” Check out the video in question below…

Despite their great win yesterday, Laois are sure to be up against it for the rest of the Championship. Who knows though, a little bit of encouragement from their newest supporter could go a long way.
