The late David Bowie broke the heart of the nation when he passed away earlier this year.
His legacy knew no bounds. So much so, that Apple have only gone and added two emojis (one male and one female) to their ranks, in his honour.
In fact, the whole update is in his honour, as the company attempts to close the gender gaps between male and female.
The new set of emojis are based on the cover of David Bowie’s 1973 album, Aladdin Sane. It is a part of a profession selection that includes firefighters, painters, doctors, scientists, pilots, and many more.
A fitting tribute during a modern age.
