This Irish City Has Just Been Named The ‘Sex Toy Hotspot’

We’ve always known Belfast was a buzzing city, but we thought it was just from all the hustle ‘n’ bustle – apparently that buzz is allll from kinky playthings.

71% of people in the city own a sex toy, well above the UK national average of 48%.

More than 2,000 men and women took place in the research, which was conducted by Mr & Mrs Toy, makers of an award-winning vibrator.

Of those raunchy folk who admitted to owning sexy boudoir accessories, lots of people had more than just the one, with one-third of people in Belfast saying they owned at least two vibrators and nearly 3% owning five or more.

Women are more likely to masturbate with a sex toy (33%) than men (12%), with gals going at it an average of twice a week and the fella more than three.

Gordon Goodall, Director of Mr & Mrs Toy, commented: “It’s great to see that people up and down the country are spicing up their sex lives.

“It’s a topic that is not often spoken about but it’s very important in people’s lives and it’s time we were more open.”
