WATCH: Check out Roy Keane’s cameo in ‘The Young Offenders’ series two

James Fenton

For a long time, Roy Keane could have been considered as Cork’s most famous export but that was before a little show called The Young Offenders came along. The comedy has been a massive hit on both sides of the Irish Sea so it makes a lot of sense for Keano to get involved in some capacity and that scenario has now become a reality.

The second series of the sitcom has already been shown on BBC and a clip has been shared of the former Ireland captain enquiring after a fish supper before being told in no uncertain terms where to go by Conor, Jock and Mairéad.

Sporting a Cork City scarf, the seven-time Premier League winner’s cameo can be viewed below:

Throughout his career, Keane’s fearsome persona meant that most people wouldn’t have been brave enough to speak to him like that but Conor and Jock aren’t most people. If you missed it on the BBC, you can see Keano’s appearance when the new series of The Young Offenders starts on RTÉ on Monday November 11.
