The countdown is on for the Gavin & Stacey Christmas special.
It’s been almost 10 years since the last episode of Gavin & Stacey aired and fans of the hit BBC show have been eagerly awaiting the upcoming Christmas special ever since creators, writers and stars James Corden and Ruth Jones revealed that they were working on a reunion.
Smithy, Nessa, Gavin and Stacey will all return to our screens on Christmas Day in one of the most anticipated Christmas specials of all time and as if fans weren’t excited enough, the BBC have released a secret teaser to give viewers a taste of what to expect.
Fans who were binging the show on the BBC Player over the weekend discovered an unexpected addition to Series 3.

Towards the end of the final episode of the most recent season, Stacey’s uncle Bryn (played by Rob Brydon) can be seen frantically preparing Christmas dinner in a hidden sneak peek which has delighted fans.
While the BBC Player is not accessible in the Republic of Ireland, one Twitter user was generous enough to share the sneak peek with the world.

The Christmas special will air on 25 December although the exact time has not been confirmed just yet.
