Get Your Leo DiCaprio Fix With Tonight’s RTÉ Movie

We can think of worse ways to spend our Sunday evening than being in the company of Leonardo DiCaprio for a couple of hours.

Everyone’s favourite actor n̶e̶v̶e̶r̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶w̶o̶n̶ to have only ever won one Oscar stars in 2013 literary adaptation The Great Gatsby alongside Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan.

A naive writer (Maguire) who arrives in Long Island in 1922 and befriends a self-made millionaire (Dicaprio) with a reputation for lavish parties. The latter’s  dark past is gradually exposed leading to a tense climax.

Despite airing on RTÉ One at the relatively late time 11.10pm, it’s well worth staying up for or, failing that, setting the recorder.
