Somewhere Is Charging A Fortune For Non-Alcoholic Beer – And It’s Not In Temple Bar For Once

Alana Laverty

The designated driver on any night out always deserves a prize.

What they do not deserve, however, is being totally ripped off for being sound and keeping their passengers safe.

Which is exactly what’s happened here.

Patrick McGowan made the responsible decision of ordering a non-alcoholic Erdinger beer out in Mount Juliet Hotel and Spa in Kilkenny – only to be charged a whopping €7.30 for it.

If this were an Irish craft beer in Temple Bar, we’d understand. But c’mon, give our non-alco drinking buds a rest.

Patrick was as shocked by the price as we are and told us that he queried the price on two separate occasions to make sure that he wasn’t mistakenly charged for the alcoholic version.

Thanks Patrick for sending this our way.
