All of the best new TV and movie additions to watch this weekend

Here all of the great new additions to NOW, Prime Video, Netflix, and Disney+ for you to enjoy this weekend.

As with the start of every month, the streaming services ply us with loads of new additions to their libraries, and April is no different.

We’ve gone through them all and picked out just some of the highlights of the newly available movies and shows you can check out this bank holiday weekend.

Antebellum – NOW

Successful author Veronica Henley (Janelle Monae) finds herself trapped in a horrifying reality and must uncover the mind-bending mystery before it’s too late.

Atonement – Netflix

Thirteen-year-old fledgling writer Briony Tallis (Saoirse Ronan) irrevocably changes the course of several lives when she accuses her older sister’s (Keira Knightley) lover of a crime he (James McAvoy) did not commit.

Arrival – Netflix

A linguist (Amy Adams) works with the military to communicate with alien lifeforms after twelve mysterious spacecraft appear around the world.

The Big Lebowski – Netflix

Jeff “The Dude” Lebowski (Jeff Bridges), mistaken for a millionaire of the same name, seeks restitution for his ruined rug and enlists his bowling buddies to help get it.

Bob’s Burgers (Seasons 1 to 10) – Disney+

Bob Belcher (H. Jon Benjamin) runs his dream restaurant with his wife and three children as their last hope of holding the family together.

Cast Away – Netflix

A FedEx executive (Tom Hanks) undergoes a physical and emotional transformation after crash landing on a deserted island.

Collateral – Netflix

A cab driver (Jamie Foxx) finds himself the hostage of an engaging contract killer (Tom Cruise) as he makes his rounds from hit to hit during one night in Los Angeles.

Death Becomes Her – Netflix

When a woman (Meryl Streep) learns of an immortality treatment, she sees it as a way to outdo her long-time rival (Goldie Hawn).

Dunkirk – Prime Video

Allied soldiers from Belgium, the British Empire, and France are surrounded by the German Army and evacuated during a fierce battle in World War II. Stars Tom Hardy, Barry Keoghan, Harry Styles, Kenneth Branagh, and Cillian Murphy.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Episode Three – Disney+

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities – and their patience.

Father of the Bride 1 & 2 – Disney+

With his oldest daughter’s wedding approaching, a father (Steve Martin) finds himself reluctant to let go.

The Game – Netflix

After a wealthy banker (Michael Douglas) is given an opportunity to participate in a mysterious game, his life is turned upside down when he becomes unable to distinguish between the game and reality.

Godzilla vs. Kong – Sky Store, Google Play, Rakuten TV

The epic next chapter in the cinematic Monsterverse pits two of the greatest icons in motion picture history against one another – the fearsome Godzilla and the mighty Kong – with humanity caught in the balance.

Hot Fuzz – Netflix

A skilled London police officer (Simon Pegg) is transferred to a small town with a dark secret, where he is also given a new partner (Nick Frost).

The Hunger Games Collection – NOW

Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) voluntarily takes her younger sister’s place in the Hunger Games: a televised competition in which two teenagers from each of the twelve Districts of Panem are chosen at random to fight to the death.

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part – Prime Video

It’s been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: Lego Duplo invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild. Voice cast includes Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, and Tiffany Haddish.

The Mauritanian – Prime Video

Mohamedou Ould Slahi fights for freedom after being detained and imprisoned without charge by the U.S. Government for years. Co-stars Jodie Foster and Shailene Woodley.

Run – Netflix

A homeschooled teenager begins to suspect her mother (Sarah Paulson) is keeping a dark secret from her.

Scoob! – NOW (from Saturday, April 3)

Scooby and the gang face their most challenging mystery ever: a plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world. As they race to stop this dogpocalypse, the gang discovers that Scooby has an epic destiny greater than anyone imagined. Voice cast includes Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried, and Will Forte.

Shrek – Netflix

A mean lord exiles fairytale creatures to the swamp of a grumpy ogre, who must go on a quest and rescue a princess for the lord in order to get his land back. Voice cast includes Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, and Eddie Murphy.

Twister – Netflix

Bill (Bill Paxton) and Jo Harding (Helen Hunt), advanced storm chasers on the brink of divorce, must join together to create an advanced weather alert system by putting themselves in the cross-hairs of extremely violent tornadoes.

White House Down – Netflix

While on a tour of the White House with his young daughter, a Capitol policeman (Channing Tatum) springs into action to save his child and protect the president (Jamie Foxx) from a heavily armed group of paramilitary invaders.
