An Post managed to deliver yet another letter with a very vague address

“Singer-songwriter and musical treasure.”

An Post has done it again, managing to deliver yet another letter to its rightful destination despite the address being a little vague on the details.

People joke about Ireland being too small, it’s always a topic of conversation when you’re away on holidays (ah, remember holidays? Sad face.). Someone hears your accent, realises where you’re from and proceeds to ask you ‘do you know John Joe from *insert rural Irish town here*?’. Both of you laugh… until you realise that actually, yes, you do know John Joe.

There are a few surefire occurrences that make you think ‘only in Ireland’, the above example is one, An Post managing to deliver letters with very vague addresses is another – a skill they’ve already impressed us with several times so far this year.

First, there was the letter that made its way from Australia to County Clare – the one that said ‘just get this to East Clare and they will know who I am on about’. Then there was the one addressed to ‘German lady with a rake of cats‘.

And now we have this one, whose address read: ‘Emma Langford, singer-songwriter and musical treasure, Caherdavin, Co Limerick’.

Successfully getting the letter to its destination, Emma shared her delight at receiving the delivery, posting a photo of the envelope on Twitter and writing:

“I can’t believe this actually reached me. I love @AnPostvox.”

An Post – what a bunch of legends, eh?
