WATCH: Netflix Releases Behind-The-Scenes Look At How Bandersnatch Was Actually Made

Bandersnatch has been making serious waves on social media ever since it was released on Netflix last week.

The new Black Mirror film comes in an interactive ‘choose your own adventure’ style and people have been blown away by the number of different choices that can be made.

Netflix confirmed there are “five main endings with multiple variants of each,” though they haven’t revealed how many different choice combinations there are throughout.

The streaming giant has now released a new behind-the-scenes video explaining just what went into making the film – and the sheer number of flowcharts alone would melt your brain.

In the video, Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker admits he had no interest in making an interactive show when Netflix first approached him, but he later changed his mind when he came up with the idea for Bandersnatch.

He explains that he thought to himself, “Well, this will be fairly straightforward.

“I’m sure I’ll have to draw a flowchart at one point. Cut to several months later, it kind of exponentially started to balloon.”

Netflix also had to double their usual budget and production time as well as creating new tools and programs to make it work.

Brooker also admitted to Variety that “there were many points where we felt it was driving us crazy”.
