Plenty of rumours about a Breaking Bad film have been doing the rounds this week and now Bryan Cranston has confirmed that it’s definitely in the works.

It’s been five years since the hit show left our screens and fans were delighted to hear that Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan has been working on the movie adaption, which is reportedly beginning production in New Mexico this month.

Now Bryan Cranston has revealed a few details about the upcoming film in a new interview on The Dan Patrick Show.

He said, “Yes, there appears to be a movie version of Breaking Bad. But I honestly have not even read the script. So I couldn’t tell you.

“I have not gotten the script. I had not read the script, so there’s a question of whether we’d even see Walter White in this movie! Think about that one.”

The new film called Greenbrier will be set in the Breaking Bad universe and will reportedly focus on a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom.

When asked if he would like to make an appearance, Cranston said, “I would, absolutely. It’s Vince Gilligan. If Vince Gilligan asked me to do it, sure, absolutely. He’s a genius.

“It’s a great story, and there’s a lot of people who felt that they wanted to see some sort of completion to some of these storylines that were left open.

“This idea, from what I was told, gets into at least a couple of the characters who were not completed as far as their journey.”
