Bryan Cranston Is Apparently Returning As Walter White For The Breaking Bad Film

Alan Fisher

Late last year, in an interview on The Dan Patrick Show, Cranston confirmed that there would be a movie version of Breaking Bad but insisted he hasn’t seen the script and didn’t know if Walter White would be returning.

He said, “I have not gotten the script. I had not read the script, so there’s a question of whether we’d even see Walter White in this movie! Think about that one.”

The new film called Greenbrier will be set in the Breaking Bad universe and will reportedly focus on a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom.

When asked if he would like to make an appearance, Cranston said, “I would, absolutely. It’s Vince Gilligan. If Vince Gilligan asked me to do it, sure, absolutely. He’s a genius.”

“It’s a great story, and there’s a lot of people who felt that they wanted to see some sort of completion to some of these storylines that were left open.”

Aaron Paul has already been confirmed to lead the film as it continues to follow his adventures and rumours have been flying around whether or not the other big guns will be returning, but now we have the answers.

According to the Revenge Of The Fans site, a leaked cast list reveals that Cranston will return as Mr. White although we are still unsure of whether it will just be in flashback scenes or whether the end of the original series wasn’t as it seemed.

Other key cast members returning include Krysten Ritter (Jane), Jonathan Banks (Mike), Jesse Plemons (Todd), Charles Baker (Skinny Pete), Matt Jones (Badger), Robert Forster (Ed, aka The Disappearer), Tess Harper (Mrs. Pinkman), and Kevin Rankin (Kenny).
