Architect Vincent Callebaut has created a vision of what Paris should look like in 2050- a smart city that thrives commercially, that uses renewables and is green friendly. The designs use the kinetic energy from rivers to generate power and the densely populated towers also help provide the city with plenty of oxygen, while limiting the systematic use of pesticides and chemical fertilisers.
Looks like a seriously ambitious project (read full details about it here) but if our cities looked as pretty as this and worked this efficiently in 30 years time we’d be well up for living in them.
