A very varied line-up of movies on the telly tonight!

Liam Neeson, Michael Fassbender, Kevin Bacon, Helen Mirren, and Kate Winslet are all featuring in tonight’s line-up.

Eye in the Sky – FilmFour – 6.55pm

Col. Katherine Powell (Helen Mirren), a military officer in command of an operation to capture terrorists in Kenya, sees her mission escalate when a girl enters the kill zone triggering an international dispute over the implications of modern warfare.

Alien: Covenant – FilmFour – 9pm

The crew of a colony ship (including Michael Fassbender and Katherine Waterston), bound for a remote planet, discover an uncharted paradise with a threat beyond their imagination, and must attempt a harrowing escape.

Silence – BBC Four – 10.05pm

In the 17th century, two Portuguese Jesuit priests (Adam Driver and Andrew Garfield) travel to Japan in an attempt to locate their mentor (Liam Neeson), who is rumoured to have committed apostasy, and to propagate Catholicism.

Tremors – ITV4 – 11.05pm

Natives of a small isolated town (including Kevin Bacon and Reba McEntire) defend themselves against strange underground creatures which are killing them one by one.

The Dressmaker – FilmFour – 1.10am

A glamorous woman (Kate Winslet) returns to her small town in rural Australia. With her sewing machine and haute couture style, she transforms the women and exacts sweet revenge on those who did her wrong.
