Galway’s Pálás cinema announces July reopening date

Rory Cashin

Local film lovers will be very happy with this news.

The Pálás cinema has confirmed it will be reopening on Friday, 16 July, with opening screenings set to include Nomadland, Supernova, Wolfwalkers, Songs For While I’m Away, Demon Slayer, Another Round, Two of Us, Deerskin, and Nowhere Special.

The Pálás cinema will also be taking part in the Summer Of Fun festival with its sister cinema, the Light House in Dublin.

Cinema programmer Charlene Lydon had the following to say about the reopening:

“It’s finally time to get back to doing what we do best – bringing audiences brilliant films to enjoy and the most gorgeous spaces to enjoy them in. There’s lots to look forward to in the coming weeks and months with great new releases and lots to catch up on.

“I personally can’t wait to get back to the big screen (and the popcorn) and make up for lost time and I’m sure I speak for the whole team at Pálás when I say we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to our big screens on July 16th.”

Tickets will be on sale very soon at palas.ie.
