Poor auld Liam Neeson just can’t catch a break.
His daughter’s been kidnapped, he’s suffered amnesia, he’s even gotten assassinated while trying to make Ireland free! But perhaps the greatest indignity he’s had to endure has been the reaction to the title of his upcoming movie: The Commuter.
Yeah, it doesn’t sound quite as cool as Taken.
When movie magazine Empire tweeted the film’s new poster yesterday, the funny people of the internet were quick were rip it apart…
I guess “Liam Neeson is grumpy and violent on various forms of transportation” is a genre now? ???? https://t.co/vAHfh3L2o5

I can imagine the story. As he is on the train, he takes the daunting and forbidden task of talking to other commuters who are reading newspapers and on their phones. This is something only those with a death wish can accomplish.

He has a particular collection of tickets which makes him a nightmare for conductors like you

One mans fight to get off the train before allowing people onto it. Can he make the 9.30am meeting without tourists blocking the ticket machines ?.

He doesn’t mind… the gap.

SPOILER: It’s just Liam Neeson stuck on a Southern train outside East Grinstead for 90 minutes. The toilet is out of order and he’s had a big bottle of water. https://t.co/CrjwNoiGfu

Poor guy can’t go anywhere without chaos ensuing. What’s next? ‘The Line’ Where Neeson has to fight his way out of the queue at Nando’s? https://t.co/a5hmsHawTp

In fairness, the trailer for The Commuter does actually look pretty decent.
