Even though Home And Away is set and filmed in the far-flung reaches of Australia, it’s still very much a part of Irish life.
Since its launch in 1988, audiences here have been gripped to the dramatic storylines and sun-kissed characters featured in the Aussie soap.
In celebration of the show’s 30-year anniversary, RTÉ will air a special one-hour show tonight called Home And Away: Endless Summer.
The programme will bring together all the unforgettable moments from the past three decades, most of which we’ve already documented in a previous article.
